The interviewer then asks you if you have any questions of your own. You answer \u201cno\u201d because that shows that you were listening and you did your preparatory research, right? Wrong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Perhaps the most important question of the interview, the opportunity to ask your own questions not only allows you to show your interest and enthusiasm for the role and the company and your astute understanding of the field; this is your final opportunity to ensure that the role and the company is the right fit for you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are our six ideas of what to ask at the end of an interview:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b>Ask about the role<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is your chance to ask things about the position that weren\u2019t covered in the vacancy advertisement or job description. For example, you could ask:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Can you describe a typical day in this role?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What would my first week in this position look like?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What are your ambitions for this role?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>2. Ask about management style<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most likely, your interviewer is the first contact you\u2019ve had at the company and, potentially, your future line manager. Now is a great time to assess whether the management style at the organisation aligns with your own requirements.
